A Message to Our Clients and Friends Regarding Covid-19
We are all aware of the concerns surrounding the spread of the coronavirus worldwide. Of course, we are all focused on taking care of our family, friends, employees and clients as this situation develops.
At this time, our office remains open and functioning during regular business hours. As part of our normal operational procedures, our attorneys and staff have the capabilities to work remotely when necessary. Many of our staff members are now working remotely in accordance with current recommendations. In addition, as a normal part of our practice, we routinely have the ability to prepare and file documents electronically and handle many transactions via electronic means or other similar technologies. We are currently using those abilities in order to enhance the safety of our community. In light of recent events, we have reviewed and updated our capabilities and procedures to further ensure our ability to assist our clients given current considerations. We also are ready and willing to meet with you telephonically or by video-conference rather than in the office if you would feel more comfortable.
We note that the courthouses and the other government agencies with which we regularly transact business are also beginning to implement new policies to help protect the public. For instance, many courts are holding non-evidentiary hearings telephonically rather than in-person. Other agencies are taking steps to limit public hearings or events. We are closely monitoring those developments to make sure our clients are fully and effectively represented, while limiting the risk of public exposure where appropriate.
We value our relationships with you. Please call us if you have any concerns about these issues or if there is anything we can do to assist you.
Sincerely,
Ira M. Schwartz
